The Henry Area Chamber of
Commerce sponsors many events throughout the year.
Including but not limited to:
Bald Eagle Day (February)-Winter in
Henry is an excellent time to view the eagles. The events starts in
the morning where visitors get the opportunity to watch and take
pictures of eagles in their natural habitat. Afternoon-There is
typically a performance by an Eagle dancer and a program about
different types of birds by the Wildlife Prairie Park.
Spaghetti Dinner
(TBA)-The Spaghetti
Dinner is one of the Chamber of Commerce’s Fund Raising Events.
Baccalaureate Breakfast-The Chamber
supports the high school graduates at the breakfast in May
Annual Meeting/Scholarship Awards
(June)-Each year at the Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting,
several scholarships are presented to students in the area. This
event is held at the end of July. Chamber Directors are elected at
this event.
4th of July
Celebration-Parade, carnival, fireworks and fun. Stoner Park has
become an attraction during the 4th. Flags are
assembled around the park dedicated to the local individuals that
served, or currently serve, in the armed forces.
Henry/Lacon/Chillicothe Canoe and
Kayak Jaunt (August)-Henry is the start of a day long canoe and
kayak event on the Illinois River. A breakfast is served in the
morning, a mid-day stop in the Lacon for lunch, and Chillicothe is
the finish line.
Henry
Expo – The Henry Expo has grown to become the Chamber of
Commerce’s signature event. The Expo takes place in October and
brings together the local businesses, food vendors, and not for
profit organizations. Come and see what Henry has to offer.
Festive
Lights are assembled by The Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the holiday season.
Henry
Holiday Preview (December) Henry's three day celebration is
titled "Henry Holiday Preview" and is always held the first weekend
in December"
